In 2022, the Bluefin Benefit Battle became Maine’s first tuna fishing tournament that fundraised for local families battling cancer. The Bluefin Benefit Battle allows commercial fishermen to participate in a friendly competition while helping support the American Cancer Society’s mission in countless ways. 5th Annual Capt. Andy Boyt Memorial Striper Tournament

Join in the fun for this catch-and-release striped bass tournament, with over $3000 in prizes and giveaways, hosted on the Fish Donkey App (which is free to download). Eligible waters include coastal Maine and New Hampshire. The kick-off meeting will be Friday, July 12th, at Saco Bay Tackle from 4:00-6:00pm. Fishing starts Saturday, July 13th at 12:01am. Fishing ends Sunday July 14th at 12pm. All entries must be submitted on the Fish Donkey app by 12:30 pm. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday the 14th from 2:00-4:00pm at The Clambake (354 Pine Point Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074), where there will be door prizes and giveaways. Again, this event will be held on the Fish Donkey App. All fish entered in the tournament must be entered using the app. The entry fee is $30 per person and is paid via the Fish Donkey app. There will be prizes awarded to the top 15 placing anglers, with winners determined by the combined length, in inches, of their four (4) largest fish. Measurements should be rounded down to the nearest quarter inch. The Northeast Bluefin Showdown is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. The light foundation’s mission is to help young people develop skills for their future.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office is holding its fourth annual Youth Fishing Derby from April 1, 2024 through September 2, 2024. The event is FREE and open to children 4-18 who are children or grandchildren of Orange County residents. Each angler can enter up to three fish during the contest, to have multiple chances to win. Ten winners will be drawn at random from all entries received during the contest dates. Now in its 33rd year the MidAtlantic has truly been a one-of-a-kind experience that continues to create memories to last a lifetime for all participants. The event is staged out of two world renowned ports; Cape May, NJ, where the Canyon Club Resort Marina is the home base of the tournament and Ocean City, MD, with Sunset Marina serving as the second port’s headquarters. Along with their prime locations, each port has first class accommodations and offers distinct amenities for participants to enjoy while dockside. Both locations have fully run weigh-ins simultaneously, which are broadcast via our livestream media to keep everyone informed as the excitement happens and the participants take center stage.

The tournament offers terrific prizes, raffles and of course… our first-class lunch for our guests which is ALWAYS prepared and cooked on premises by our fantastic chefs and kitchen crew. LUNCH FOR PAID ANGLERS ONLY. We cannot accommodate guests.
• 1st place team: $150 gift card to each angler at a local tackle shop
• 2nd place team: $100 gift card to each angler at a local tackle shop
• 3rd place team: $50 gift card to each angler at a local tackle shop
Individuals will be grouped into 6 person teams for position and compete as individuals for prizes/awards for largest and most fish.
• 75 door prizes with a value of $50 or more each
• 6 beautiful custom-made surf rods from local craftsman will be raffled via “Chinese Auction”.
• Great prizes for largest and most fish for male, female, and youth (team and individual).
